Reverend Mays accepted the Lord while serving in the United States Marine Corp during Desert Storm.  He began his ministerial journey in October 1995 when he accepted the call to preach the gospel under Rev. Dr. Frederick S. Jones, the former Pastor of Star Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Triangle VA. 

Reverend Mays has been privileged to serve the people of God in various capacities: Christian Education Director, Sunday School Teacher, Men’s Fellowship Director, Singles Ministry Coordinator, and Salvation Class instructor at Star of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church.  He is a servant of God.

Reverend Mays believes the house of worship should be a bridge for the unsaved and lonely in heart.  He states, the church should also serve as a refueling place, where the people of God can be replenished and challenged to live productive lives. It is a holistic ministry to make a difference and serve as a place of refuge for the lost, wounded, and spiritually depleted.  Reverend Mays loves the Lord and exhibits such great enthusiasm when preaching and teaching Gods word.

His motto is Each One, Reach One…

One of his favorite scriptures is...Philippians 1:6 "Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ"

Reverend Mays graduated with a Master in Religious Education and a Bachelor in Theology from the Fredericksburg Bible Institute and Seminary.  He is currently pursuing his doctorate degree.
